How to play
Choose a format and learn how to play.
Every player for themselves
2 or more players. One explains, everyone else guesses.
How a turn works
Give the phone to the player whose turn it is.
Turn over the card. The game selects a way to explain.
Explain the word, finish your turn and record the result.
Only the explaining player may see the word.
Ways to explain
Adjectives
Describe the answer using adjectives only: its appearance, character or properties. Do not use nouns, verbs or clues with the same root.
Example: “Lemon” → “Yellow, sour, oval”.
Backwards
Read the word aloud backwards, from right to left. The others must identify it and say it correctly. You may repeat it, but must not add explanations.
Example: “Casting” → “Gnitsac”.
Associations
Give three words associated with the answer. Do not use the answer, words with the same root, or turn your clues into a sentence.
Example: “Popcorn” → “Cinema, corn, crunch”.
ALetter
Explain the word using clues that start with the given letter. Do not say the answer or words with the same root.
Example: “Sea”, letter “B” → “Beach, boat, blue”.
Drawing
Draw the answer on paper so the others can recognise it. Do not speak, write letters or numbers, or give clues with gestures.
Example: “Maze” → draw winding passages with an entrance and an exit.
Charades
Act out the answer with movements and facial expressions. Do not speak, make sounds or mouth the word.
Example: “Director” → act out directing a film shoot and giving the signal to start.
Yes / No
The other players ask questions to identify the word. Answer only “Yes” or “No”, without extra explanations or gestures.
Example: “Oscar” → “Is it an award?” — “Yes”. “Is it awarded for achievements in film?” — “Yes”.
Lip reading
Silently mouth the word with clear lip movements. The others must lip-read it. You may repeat it, but must not whisper, make sounds or use hand gestures.
Example: “Chocolate” → silently mouth the word while facing those who are guessing.
No timer. Only the player who guesses correctly scores points: the number shown in the selected row. If nobody guesses, no points are awarded.
